Day Five - Cabo San Lucas

Sunrise found us already at anchor off Cabo San Lucas. I think that Cabo is the prettiest of all the cities we've seen on this side of Mexico. So far it's the only one I'd like to return to visit. The ship is only in port until noon, which is rather sad given the amount of things to see and do. We hope to return here someday for a week or so.

The boys and I took a snorkel tour. Having my own gear, I had no problems and quickly found plenty of beautiful fish to photograph. The boys were not able to find fins that fit quite right, and as a result didn't have quite as much fun as I did. After the time snorkeling, the trimaran we were on sailed around the famous rocks into the Pacific, then back into the bay where we saw about six dolphins playing.

The night before, after reading the paper misspell "gemmologist", I mentioned it and several other spelling errors to the front desk. One heinous error is on the door to the men's locker room, where the engraved sign referred to it as the men's "chainging" room.

When I returned from Cabo, there was a bottle of champagne in the room along with a note from the purser thanking me for bringing the errors to their attention. Not just any champagne either, this one was direct from France. I'll have to look for similar errors on any future cruises!

Unlike other cruises, there was no Baked Alaska Parade. Their Baked Alaska was little more then Neopolitan ice cream, but there was no parade. Instead, the waiters and more than a few passengers did the Macarena.

Found another spelling error - an engraved plaque on the jogging track told how many laps it took to make a mile. It used the term "status" mile, rather than "statute" mile. I reported it to the front desk again...we'll see if I get another bottle of champagne. I wonder if I could get a job with them correcting their spelling and writing for their Carnival Capers newsletter...

At midnight, they had something new - the Grand Buffet. They let us take pictures before they opened it for eating. I must admit the presentation was beautiful.
