Ryndam - The Ship

The Ryndam was my first Holland America cruise, and since I was writing about the Geek Cruise portion for a magazine, they put me in a full suite. I was paired with one of the conference speakers but the suite was large enough we didn't get in each other's way.

The Ryndam is a relatively small ship, holding a maximum of 1627 passengers. It had a central pool with sliding cover, a feature I would find on other Holland America ships. At the top of the bow, a large nightclub made a fine location for daily viewing.
